About
Pocket Verdict started as a group chat where a few of us kept swapping screenshots and arguing about which game deserved another evening. Eventually we figured we might as well write it all down somewhere other people could read it. So here we are.
The idea is simple. We install a game, we play it the way a normal person would, and then we tell you what it actually feels like after the shiny trailer wears off. No press-kit copy, no rushed first impressions dressed up as verdicts.
We pick games from a lot of different corners. Some land on our radar through reader tips, some we stumble on while digging through the stores, and a few come from developers who ask us to take a look. Either way, the review is written only after someone on the team has really sat with it.
We are a small independent team. Nobody pays us to like a game, and we would rather tell you something is dull than pretend otherwise.
Marek Dvořák — Marek has been reviewing mobile games for the better part of a decade and still gets genuinely annoyed by bad touch controls. He leads the team and edits most of what you read here.
